Mobile telephone : 0412 927 528
Email : roheela.dcruz@gmail.com

Roheela graduated from the University of NSW in 2004, completing her internship and residency at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital and Westmead Hospital respectively. During this time Roheela was a passionate advocate for junior medical officers with regard to the workforce and allocation of junior doctors within NSW hospitals. Roheela enters General Practice in 2011, with a background in Radiation Oncology, Palliative Medicine and Public Health. She felt her talents were better suited to General Practice. In Radiation Oncology it was the clinical aspects that were more enjoyable than the technological aspects. Further her experiences in Palliative Medicine have given her a new perspective on life in general and the importance of work life balance. The decision to move to General Practice was also inspired by an immersion experience with the poverty stricken people of East Timor. Here she felt helpless as Radiation Oncology Registrar and felt drawn to return to general medicine which would confer on her a much more versatile skill set. Roheela moved to Melbourne in 2010 to be with her husband, Neil. She is widely travelled, having set foot on six continents. Roheela also loves theatre, movies and sport, especially tennis and cricket. In 2011, Roheela's specific portfolios are Social Activities and Practice Accreditation. She is keen to hear about any social activities you may have in mind, but also contact her about any other queries you might need assistance with.

My Photo Dr Melanie Winter

Contact Melanie via :
Mobile telephone : 0407 613 160
Email : melanieawinter@gmail.com

Melanie completed her MBBS at The University of Adelaide and is currently working as an HMO at Eastern Health. Melanie has had significant involvement in the general practice arena for some time now, beginning formally as one of the first GP Ambassadors at the inception of the General Practice Students Network in 2007. She has had a keen interest in general practice from her teenage years growing up in a rural town where she was exposed to highly accomplished GPs who were proficient at a multitude of clinical skills from counselling to procedural work. She was inspired by their compassion and aptitude and from that time, aspired to become a GP herself. With this passion and goal in mind, Melanie has continued her involvement in the promotion of general practice to the junior doctor cohort as the GP Network Ambassador at Eastern Health. In this role and her role as GPSN Ambassador, she has developed a more thorough knowledge of the general practice landscape and has been privileged to come to know many inspiring and influential people. Melanie is also currently undertaking a Diploma in Child Health through the Childrens Hospital at Westmead, in addition to a Certificate in Women’s Health through the RANZCOG. She has many interests outside of medicine, including cycling, baking, boating with her husband and having coffee out with friends.
