Jason Ong
ImageSince graduating from VMA in 2009 General Practice has been very enjoyable for me and I have not had any regrets so far.  I have begun to do more academic work and sexual health medicine. For my academic work, I have started a Masters of Medicine to do research on contraception use by Australian women.  I have also enjoyed examining medical students at Melbourne University as well as being an examiner for the RACGP and AMC. For my sexual health medicine, I am working in a clinic with a high case load for HIV and sexual health issues.  I am also helping a faith-based Non-Government Organization in China combat the problems of HIV/AIDS. This has kept my general practice varied and interesting as I continue to have opportunities to build up skills in areas that I am interested in.
